Anyone Has Travelled To Taiwan Via China Airlines Flight? How Was The Inflight Service Like?
My gal friend & I are planning to go Taipei at January 2009. Was comparing airline tickets & realized China Airline is cheaper than Singapore Air & Cathay Pacific. Anyone has taken China Airline before? How was the inflight service & entertainment like? Please let me know soon. Thanks.

China Airlines is a very good airline with top-notch service, good food and good IFE, with individual screens on the flights I was on. I live in Asia and have traveled between the US and Asia over 50 times, as good as China Airlines is, you can’t beat Singapore or Cathay Pacific, the airline I flew most often. China Airlines is good value though and to Taipei may offer you the most direct route. They don’t have the best safety record, but to be fair, haven’t had a fatal accident for some time and seem to have improved greatly in that regard. They’re a good airline, I would fly them again.
Very efficient connections on the onward journey, Taipei is a small albeit organized airport – terminal change easy. Personal IFE on both the trans-Pacific and Asian legs. Food was OK, no separate round for drinks. They had a fair selection of drinks if you ask for it. On the return leg, there was no personal IFE (TPE to SFO) but make up with efficient service. The plane from Delhi got delayed by 1:15 due to congestion. Three trans-pacific connections from TPE (to Vancouver, LAX and SFO) were made to wait beyond their scheduled departure, to allow the 60 odd passengers from India to board. Transfers in less than 45 mins on a rainy Taipei evening. Crew was very accommodating.
having travelled to asia ,thailand many times I have found that china air is first class ,the hostesses are multi lingual and very good to all the passengers
